About City Harvest
What they do…
Mission Statement: "City Harvest exists to end hunger in communities throughout New York City.
We do this through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical,
innovative solutions."
Why we support them…
Before we built this web site, I worked as a barista at my local Starbucks, and
City Harvest picked up our left-over pastries. Fresh-faced enthusiastic volunteers happily lugged
around big bags of bagels in blustery weather, and I've had a soft spot for them ever since.
