Mission Statement: "to deliver emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries."

This organization is involved in a ton of those front-page international issues you read about but don't have time or resources to do anything about: Darfur, Lebanon, Israel, Somalia--we could go on and on. A doctor friend of ours did a stint for Doctors Without Borders soon after she graduated, and we'd like to follow her example (minus the whizzing bullets).
